Duties & Responsibilities of Republican State Central Committee Members

• Be the Republican Party’s liaison in your neighborhood
• Support Republican incumbents and candidates who advocate the principles and platform of the Maryland Republican Party and the Republican National Committee
• Conduct voter registration drives
• Participate in fundraising to ensure a well-financed County Republican Party
• Write Letters to the Editor
• Attend State Republican Conventions (Spring and Fall)
• Submit names to the Governor and to the County Commissioners for appointments to various Boards and Committees with a goal of Republican membership on all County committees
• Attend or designate Republicans to attend Commissioner and Board of Education meetings and public hearings on budget and zoning issues
• Establish and support Republican clubs
• Work at least 2 evenings at the Republican County Fair booth
• Recruit and train candidates and volunteers
• Facilitate a cooperative working relationship between our County’s elected officials, the Central Committee and the citizens of Queen Anne’s County
• Get to know your constituency -- organize precincts and promote a positive political image
• Sponsor social activities and keep County Republicans informed through emails, etc. 
• Reach out to newly registered Republicans
• Campaign coordination -- establishing and staffing a Republican headquarters, distributing literature and information on Republican candidates and election procedures, recruiting poll workers and election judges, maintaining a master Calendar of Events, sponsoring forums and participating in phone banks
